The blog is mostly for my CAS reflections and evidence (so that I can keep track of everything). However, I sometimes post updates about future CAS projects or goals for a particular term.
Since it takes me a while to write up everything (especially around exam time) and get photos/evidence for some things, you can always keep track of my activities and progress by checking the "CAS hour" tab at the top or follow this blog!
Alternatively, you can also get a notification every time I post by following this blog (see the side bar on the right)!
Thanks for visiting my CAS blog!
wat is this meme
ReplyDeleteNo memes, just a younger-past-me dealing with the CAS portion of IB (btw IB memes can be found all over the internet my CAS blog doesn't have a ton, since I included this blog address as evidence for my CAS profile XP )
DeleteA bit surprised this blog is still getting hits, but hey if you find it useful and want to post IB memes in the comments to lighten the mood for other IBers, go ahead! :D

Really nice blog! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment! Really appreciate it and I'm just glad someone found it useful - even if it is a bit outdated :P I hope you find what you are looking for and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about the IB experience/university life.
DeleteHey! I just wanted to say that you did a great job with the blog, it helped quite a lot with writing my final reflection. Since it looks like you graduated a few years ago I was just interested in hearing what you've done after Regards, Alfred
ReplyDeleteHi Alfred,
DeleteOh my goodness, I'm flattered that this blog helped you and thanks so much for getting in touch!
I'm currently finishing up my final year of college at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) where I've double majored in Ecology & Biodiversity (Sci Faculty) and History (Arts Faculty). Hard to recap the past few years since a lot has happened then - from starting a University Quidditch team with a few friends, to going on Exchange to the University of Leeds, to finding a job teaching kids science etc. The whole thing has been an absolute blast!
As for the future, I've just received a conditional offer from the University of Cambridge for an MPhil in Biological Sciences (Zoology) where I will be doing field work with Oil Palm Plantation Spiders in Sumatra - super excited about it! Hope to continue doing Scientific research and outreach as my career after, but not 100% if that means a PhD or museum studies type thing :)
Still in the process of making that new science & history website (and sort of abandoned the personal blog thing), but it is on hold at the moment due Academic stuff. You can find more about what I'm up to at my more professional website RebeccaSWang.wordpress.com (where you will also find more up to date contact info & updates - sorry for taking forever to reply to this message)
Good luck on your May IB exams/mocks (if they are still happening now)! Hope you and your loved ones are well in these interesting times we find ourselves in.
Thanks for stopping by!
-Rebecca
